To work towards the upliftment of the facilities and welfare activities of veteran Sailors and their immediate families and to cater to their social service and cultural needs.

We are a secular & non-political society. We give attention to the Retired sailors /widows /dependents of retired -sailors on welfare-related issues, namely, children's education, post-retirement benefit, rehabilitation, assistance with vocational training /courses, entitlements from Central and State Govt, etc, assist in resettlement, and provide assistance to the needy and help them in their ventures for charitable, social and philanthropic causes, provide a platform for sharing /dissemination of information related to opportunities/ difficulties faced by the retired-sailors and widows/next of kin and furtherance of Naval image in the civil world through measures such as highlighting values of honesty & integrity to the nation, projecting achievements of the naval community to the society

To provide training/ assistance to youths who wished to join the armed forces and encourage dependent registered members for career development.

To establish recreational facilities, libraries, guest houses, cottages, clubs, etc., for the welfare of the registered members and their dependents.

To provide a database of veterans to placement agencies, establish such independent agency, and involve otherwise in such placement operations.

To interact with the government or other similar agencies related to the welfare of its registered members

To publish periodicals, commentaries, reports, and other literature.

To seek legal aid as and when required for the enforcement, protection, and defense of the rights and privileges of its registered members and dependents

To engage in social and cultural activities without any profit motive and devoid of any political affiliation, group, or individual.

To co-operate with other societies, institutions and organizations, national level in pursuit of all or any of the above objectives.

To do all such things and performs all such acts as may be necessary and proper for the achievement of any or all of the above objectives.

Without prejudice to the generality of the above and for the effective carrying out of the above objectives, TVSWS shall have the power to acquire, receive and hold property of any kind including securities and negotiable instruments, to construct and maintain buildings, including the right to alter or improve them and to equip them suitably, to manage, sell, transfer, mortgage or otherwise dispose of or deal with the property of any kind belonging to the TVSWS, to enter into contracts for and in connection with any of the purposes of TVSWS and to raise money and funds in such manner as may be deemed for and on behalf of TVSWS for financings its activities.

The income and assets of TVSWS shall be applied only for the above objective and educational and charitable purposes, the welfare of the registered members and purpose connected or related to the promotion, propagation, or protection of TVSWS.
